Inductor testing

Thanks Mike,

I have a small machine shop and lots of metals from Al to Zirconium. I could easily make the plate 3/8" or 1/2" thick. If I do that, and the fact that you calculated for 20W, it seems I could cut the plate in half ending up with two plates 4" by 3/5" (23.707 sq cm. for each side = 47.412 sq cm). This would be ideal since the design has the two resistors at different locations on the board. I can also machine fins on one side of the plates to improve heat dissipation. All thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
henrylr
