Any suggestions ?

Range? What country?

The ISM radio band is your friend. Think car fobs, garage door openers, etc.

EBay is full of these things.

I am using the 315MHz version (of one that looks like this) to open/close my drive-through swing-gate. The range is consistently > 300ft from inside a car...

ps, many remote dog training devices use the ISM band, too...

Wireless Doorbell, ebay, under $5.00 for a kit of one transmitter and one receiver. Lots to chose from, battery powered transmitter, battery or power line receiver, multiple transmitters, etc.
