Illuminating Switch with 2 LEDS (as switched-blue, not switched-yellow)

Hi, I hove some illumineted switches (blue, which is allway on).

Want to modify it this way:

Add another LED, yellow one which will be on as long as the switch being switched. Only one LED will light on at the time.

Blue on (not switched) and yellow off.
Yellow on (switched) and blue off.

I think it can be done by 555 timer, but my question is if it is possible to make it via 555 as the LEDs are connected to the PWM output. (Duty cycle 50%-100%). I mean there is no other power source, just the PWM. Must be small eneough to integrate it into the switch.
