This may sound silly question but I need to know how to wire this 4 terminal switch on a 12v vehicle. When you look at the back of it, the 2 terminals (thicker ones) are the switch but the other 2's got (-) & (+) marked on them (LED). I've got about 400Ω resistor to put in series with it, I assume (-) terminal goes to Ground and then do I connect the switched supply (+12v) to the terminal marked (+) via the resistor? Any light on the subject would be welcome, Max

That's fine, Max. The 400Ω resistor will limit the current to around 25ma, which is below the 30ma limit the majority of LED's can handle. The (-) goes to ground, the (+) goes to the resistor, the other side of the resistor goes to the load side of the switch, +12V.
