Identify component (from a vacuum pump connection box)

I have a defect vacuum pump Im trying to fix and came across this component which I cant find the function to with Google searches. Hoping some of you knows the answere when Google dont

The component has written MP 7259 and T 0914/M7 on it.

Attached is some pics of it. Its wired in series with the lead wire on a 1 phase 230 V circuit.

Nope it the motor thermal over load it opens the line voltage to shut the motor off when it get's to hot
That is normally clamped on the motor

Looks like possibly a bi-metallic element, which would do just that.
For testing purposes, OP could simply short out the connections and see if the pump motor runs.
