I need advice about trimmer pots being used for audio/tone controls

I'll be using 2 or 3 electret condenser capsules for acoustic guitar pickups.
I plan on having separate tone controls for each pickup.
That would take up too much space if I use normal pots, so I want to use the mini trimmer pots.

Is there any sort of mechanical/electrical/quality difference that I should know about?

For use as tone controls, there is no significant electrical or quality difference between a normal pot and a trimpot. The mechanical differences are obvious.

Ok, that's good.

My next question then, is can anyone suggest some good quality trimmers to use?

Because of the nature that these will sit for very long periods without being adjusted, I need something that will not develop noise as a result of oxidation, or whatever.
I don't imagine that cost would be an object here, unless they were some sort of exotic gold layered pots or something.
