I have a problem with my LCD

I have a calculator whose lcd has started mulfuntioning ever since I changed the battery.

the display appear to be faint even though the battery is new.

what should I do?

If it's a cheap calculator I would just buy a new one

If not you could double check you have the correct battery... open it up and check for solid battery connections... get a new lcd for it... etc...
