HT640 and HT648L

Hi I am developing a project in which I need to control two stepper motors wirelessly.

Can I use the HT640 and HT648L with TX/RX-433 RF transmitter and receiver?

I wanted to know how does the HT640 and HT648L work? How does it encode and what does it send to the rf transmitter?
