HP Toner cartridge mod

Hey all:

In an effort to improve toner density I am considering altering the doctor/developer blade tension in my 1102W cartridge. Doctor blade adjustment is common in printing press setup for inking.

Has anyone done anything along these lines?

Why do you want the toner denser? Making PCB's? I have used dry erase markers with an HP4101. That method only works with toner from some printers.

That may be an indicator that the OPC needs changing .

The OPC sensitivity affects charge transfer in laser printers, which we know degrades rapidly with light exposure from the warnings on the installation manual. The other variable is charge voltage in kV applied by the MCU PWM voltage controlled HV drum charger.

How many sheets have been printed?

Print twice?
