How to remove items from alert list

How do I remove something from my alert list so I dont receive alerts on topics I've finished with?

Go to "Watched threads".

Click on the square of those of interest.

Scroll down to where it says "With selected..."

Select "stop watching threads"

Maybe its me, what do you mean by 'click on the square'
I'm using firefox maybe its different than explorer.

Under the watched threads tab. Click on that and it opens to the threads you are watching. Select the thread you wish to stop watching. Then on the right hand side, top of the page. Just above the post # you should see "Unwatch Thread" .
