You can remove 0.65v with a diode and 0.3v with a germanium diode

I can suggest a voltage divider at the output
and you can use potentiometer to vary the output voltage

A voltage divider is not the answer. He wants to remove "1v" and just be left with the remainder - not in a "ratio" but as a direct value.

i though with a voltage divider you can have it certain values wher you can drop 1v over 1 resistor and another off another and another off another?

here would be a tuff way...

Use ADC to get the digital version and then use DAC to output the same -1v
