Hi guys,

Is there a way to read the Device ID with the PICKit2 stand-alone programmer application?

TIA...

Cheerful regards, Mike

I am not sure which of the two non MPLAB apps you are thinking about.

if you are talking about the command line interface

-I shows device name (only looked at pickit2cmd.exe
The -I command now displays the device name associated with the read
Device ID, and warns if it is different from the selected device.

If you are talking about the pickit2.exe and pickit3.exe apps the device is listed near the top of the IDE but you have to manually select the family of parts.
