Some of the disc-caps I have read: uF 3300 Now I'm pretty sure this is just 3300uF, but on most of the disks, another system is used and it looks like this 402 I don't know what this means, just the number 402. Perhaps it is similar to resistor values? Thanks for your help if you can help me.

I isaacj New Member Dec 31, 2002 #2 It's kind of like resistor values. The first two digits are real numbers. The last digit is a multiplier. The value is given in picofarads. 0 = 1 1 = 10 2 = 100 3 = 1000 4 = 10000 5 = 100000 6 = 1000000 7 = 10000000 9 = 100000000 9 = 1000000000 So 402 = 40*100 = 4000pF = 0.004uF

kinjalgp Active Member Jan 1, 2003 #5 uF3300 means uF is the decimal spearator and its value is 0.3300 uF and not 3300uF. It is similar as it is with resistors 1k2 is 1.2k and k2 is just 0.2k.
