I bought a name-brand clock radio for only $1.50 on sale. It sounds awful and its reception is poor but it has a nice-looking green LED display and has battery backup.
I souped-up a clock radio about 25 years ago. It has a lot of bass-boost in its 3" replaced speaker and has my bridged amplifier circuit. But its red LED display is dimmed now after being used so long.
I don't want to spoil your fun but . . . I do want to spoil your fun !
I was wondering why nobody noticed the error in the circuit ?
The rechargeable batteries are connected to the wrong terminal of the
LM 317. I also added a 4,7µF capacitor to keep the thing stable.
