Some recent files I've received have, as part of the file name, this - № - as in xxx - №8.pdf etc.

Anyone know which keyboard sequence/ascii code or other procedure produces this?

It copies and pastes (obviously, as it pasted here) and is all one symbol - UTF8 maybe?

Check out this thread for a simple way to do it.

Unfortunately, that symbol is not in your map (yes, I see the degrees symbol that is possibly part of it)

The 'N', small circle or 'o' and the underline below the 'o' are all part of one character as in not seperate bits, so I was hoping to find where it exists as a whole rather than having to make it up if I wanted to use it (other than copy & paste).

I found the codes too but as you point out, they don't work on the forum. In Visitor's thread I posted my own version of his page with copy keys on it. I keep this open in a tab so I can quickly get any obscure characters. I've added the № character and have attached it here (but had to change the extension from html to txt - just change it back). If you open it in an editor, the third lot of data (starting var data3 = [ "Inter IC","I²C", etc.) is the third (mainly unused) table so you can add any symbols you wish to it.

Mike.
