K kpatz New Member Oct 14, 2009 #2 That circuit flashes the LEDs alternately. Essentially it's an astable multivibrator. For 3 LEDs you'll need a different circuit. What flashing pattern are you looking to do? You could use a decade counter like the 4017 to flash 3 (or up to 10) leds sequentially.
