How does the parametric search work on the Microchip website?

I'm looking for a Pic chip with 8 to 20 legs and at least 1 UART.
I go to the parametric search page on MicroChip and type in pic16F and set the number of legs (6 to 20 -can't be bothered changing 6 to 8) and get a number of selections.
I.E.

I then scroll accross to set the number of UARTs to 1 or above. I scroll across and find it set to 1 to 2- perfect. However, the column is blank
I.E.
Out of curiosity I click to get the datasheet for the 16F15213 to see if it has a UART and to my surprise it does.
I.E.

How does this make sense? is there something I'm missing?

Is it just me or is the parametric search now useless?

Mike.

Microchip website search in general has been useless for years - searching for an app note that you know exists will often bring up nothing.

You're not alone. Microchip's parametric search tool is really frustrating. We always need to cross-check with the datasheet to confirm if a feature is present.

A useful PIC pdf... ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/01308d.pdf

The date on that list is 4th quarter of 2010. There have been a lot of new parts in the last 14 years.

Most of the newer devices are far better specified (and often cheaper), with many more peripherals and greater functionality.
