Help with LOW vdc voltage regulator...

Im looking for a voltage regulator of some kind that can output about 2vdc or lower and 1 amp. Ive found a few adjustable ones in that area but Id like to see how low I can go THANKS!
 
An LM317 is good for as low as 1.2V @ 1.5A if properly heatsinked.
And you can go down to zero volts out, if the sensing lead for this IC goes to a -1.2v supply.
Using a 1N4004, with a dropping resistor, as a Zener for this negative supply might get you down to 1.2-0.7 or 1.2-1 volts.
 
Linear Technologies has the LT3080, a low dropout (300mV) 1.1A regulator that can be adjusted down to 0V. That's as low as you can go.
