Help with Getting Started

Hello Everyone,

I am a musician and Dj interested in getting into electronics, essentially for music purposes.

I would love to dig into circuit bending, as well as building effects processors to run instruments through.

Also there is the very practical application of being able to make minor repairs on existing equipment!

I know there are people here with lots of experience. What would you recommend for someone with no prior experience? How can I go about getting started???
