"What to get or not get" aren't really options other that Version 1 or Version 2. That, and what services you may want to subscribe to.

And, of course, you'll need WiFi access.

This fairly well explains the difference(s).

If you want to watch HiDef TV you'll need high speed internet access of probably at least 5Mb/s.
