Help With Calculations with J-fet

This is my first tread, I hope I will find my answer. Thank you

I am currently working on a distortion pedal called Brown Sound In A Box 2.

I am having trouble with the J-Fet transistors calculation, espacially for Q2. I do not know the usage of it and the voltage at the Source. May somebody please help me?
-According to the link below, they say its 4.5 Volts but I can't figure out why .
