I'm looking for a microcontroller that includes a Random Number Generator (RNG) as a peripheral, or an RNG chip that could produce at least 16-bit good quality (not Linear Congruential Generator, LCG) uniform deviates at 100 kHz to 1 MHz rate (and trigger an interrupt when new deviate is available).

Also, good (fast, period over 2x10^19, not LCG) algorithms to generate random 16-bit unsigned integers (uniform deviates in the range 0-65535) with 8-bit microcontroller are welcome. And does anybody know if, and how, Atmels DES crypto engine could be used as a random number generator?
