I like plants and growing things, so this to me is the perfect polly tunnel assistant :D, if I ever get time later in the year :D

Very cool, LG. We "farm" with raised beds as well. Production is iffy to poor, even with automated watering. Bugs galore.

Truth is, we garden by neglect - perhaps not the best method :woot:...

20 Beetroot not going to get you very far ! and planted tooooo deep. Most plants require water from below , 5/10 see me .:banghead:

To be honest the first thing that struck me was those tiny trays they do with seedlings, I can see all kinds of apps for it and I suspect the huge seed places use something like that for planting plugs. CB gardening by neglect is sometimes called working with nature ;), or it is when I do it lol

Try the seed tapes for things like carrots, a bit expensive but saves thinning out and the FLY ! I fancy a garden robot project, wheeled or tracked following a buried cable cutting weeds but leaving produce..... Hmmmmm

My Garden, August of 2015.
I Still have Carrots, Beets ad Parsnips in it Now.

Great garden, chemelec.

What is the purpose of a robotic gardening helper ? For sure takes more and longer work to build and maintain than the old archaic manual method.

And have you calculated haw many carrots, strawberries,... you need to harvest just to pay for the contraption ? It should be around $4 per tomato. As hobbies, sort of understand it.

Egg boxes make good germinating trays, at $0

Ducks are the worlds best slug and snail killers! they dig into the soil and get the grubs from slugs, yeah great pics lets see some more :D. As for the point................there is none its just geek gardening.

The Little Red Knobs on the First Frame is a 15KV Electric Fence.
I have Problems with a Small animal, Called "Marmots" and they Eat Certain crops, like Beet tops and Swiss Chard, so I plant these in this Protected Frame.

We just have huge slugs and snails, I hope to get some ducks this year :D

Laying down the Plastic does control the Weeds, But also creates a better space for More Slugs!

Ducks kind of help with weeds as well, as long as the plants are fairly well established they wont disturb the roots. This year a major overhaul of the pollytunel which is hydroponic mainly.

115-230V with a 1 Ampere fuse is enough for slugs electric path. No ducks to wish or take care...

Seriously?:facepalm: I will stick with the runner ducks thanks :D

very slick LG,
this spring, the mrs wants me to start a garden more like this:
i have been thinking about how to automate it, lol, my design started with running a chainsaw down the side for quick picking!

actually LG remember how i was asking about the bio stuff, commonly disposed roots would be a excellent substitute in my dung-less urban habitat

also check out how they catch worms on the net!
