GCSE Project

Help needed! :?

I am starting my GCSE Electronics project, and I am planning to make a parking sensor to be attached to the rear of a car. I plan to make this using ultrasonic, as IR is too complicated, but apart from that I'm lost! If anyone has any ideas about circuits and components etc, they would be much appreciated.

Look in DigiKey (www.digikey.com) for ultrasonic sensors. The manufacturer will no doubt have application information.
