Gain of Op amp

Generally the open-loop DC gain of an op amp is well over 10,000 but op amps aren't operated open loop unless they are being used as comparators.
If you look at the data sheet of a particular op amp, it will state the open loop gain.

Can anyone tell me what is the DC gain of op amp?

For all effective purposes it's infinite, the whole point of opamps is based on this (and also infinite input impedance, and zero output impedance).

In reality obviously none of these are true, but they are 'near enough' to ignore them in all calculations.

By itself, the phrase "gain of an opamp" has almost zero meaning. At the most basic level there's open loop gain, something that varies greatly with the type of opamp and the frequency of the signal being amplified; and closed-loop gain, something set by feedback and feedforward external components.
