Generally the open-loop DC gain of an op amp is well over 10,000 but op amps aren't operated open loop unless they are being used as comparators.
If you look at the data sheet of a particular op amp, it will state the open loop gain.
By itself, the phrase "gain of an opamp" has almost zero meaning. At the most basic level there's open loop gain, something that varies greatly with the type of opamp and the frequency of the signal being amplified; and closed-loop gain, something set by feedback and feedforward external components.
