you can request for samples from many different semiconductor manufacturers,log onto their websites and you can see a link which says request free sample...be warned though,not all the manufacturers give samples if ur contact is @gmail.com or yahoo etc, if you are a student, you can provide an email id of your educational institution or else your company etc, and state the use for which you need the sample, and fill in some other simple details, many manufacturers will be willing to give you free samples...
