Flex Senser's?

Has anyone heard of these and can they be read using a PIC to fine the resistance I have about 5 of them lying around somewhere just haven't though of using them untill now maby for like a hand or something made of servos then the flex senser is then used to control them ? How would I got about testing the resistance on a PIC ?
