Final year project temperature process controller

Hi all,

For my final year EE project I am thinking of making a temperature process controller with PID auto tune function. I am thinking of something like this. I am not thinking of including all its features so can anyone give some input regarding this and some other ways of improving it. Any other project ideas are also welcome.

I have about 7 months to do it (I still haven’t submitted the proposal).
