DVD Display - all ligts lit up

I was hoping someone could tell me why all of the lights on my DVD player's display are lit up, and maybe a solution. Thanks!

It broke...
Nothing to go on, considering the price of a typical DVD player and the cost and effort it would require to determine what is wrong and repair it even if it were possible is more than the cost of a new unit, and that's IF you knew exactly what you were doing.
