Hello all,
I need a circuit which will enable me to drive an lcd module via rs 232 port of a pc. anyone has such circuit ? thanks

You'll need a microcontroller for that one.
a Pic16F628 seems like a good solution to me.

If you do not have any expierience in pic programming (or another familiy of µC's) then this might be a good time to start with it :)
Or eighter buy a module (velleman has a kit for this). This is one of those things that screams for a pic.

Just in case you are interested in the velleman kit
**broken link removed**

It uses a pic too :)

Come to think of it, You could also use the parallel port and drive a LCD directly.
