DMA in dspic

How do we configure DMA in dsp with respect to enhanced CAN?
Can DMA used be for other applications?
How should the following be config?
DMA0CON, DMA0PAD,DMA0CNT,DMA0REQ,DMA0STA

The datasheet for the dsp I use does not explain much about the DMA, IF Anyone came across some info or any link please post it on this thread.
 
Have you looked at the dsPIC33F Family Datasheet? WIth dsPICs the information is spread across the datasheet for the specific dsPIC, the 33F Family datasheet, and the 30F Family Reference manual.
