That's a transistor, not a diode. I've never heard of any such thing as a Darlington diode, although Google shows that some people might refer to a Darlington transistor with a built-in speedup diode as a Darlington/diode. "Darlington" refers to a configuration of two transistors to make a very high-gain transistor, and is named after the man who came up with the idea. You can buy Darlingtons which include both transistors in one package (and it looks just like an ordinary transistor) or you can make your own from two transistors.
