Seeing the negative response I talked to my guide and now I changed my project to make a PS/2 keyboard using atmega128.... I assume this is a very doable project. So if someone can help me Hoping for positive response this time.....

Interfacing PC keyboard to AVR microcontroller - Scientific, embedded, biomedical, electronics contents. includes source code which you should be able to adapt to your needs. The simplest practical use is to use the Mega as a keyboard logger, or interface it to an LCD.

It's a MUCH more doable project, pretty simple - but isn't the idea of a project that YOU are supposed to do it?.
