design a driver for DFB laser

Hello
I want to design a drive for a DFB laser transmitter.
I want guidance for circuit design.
And whether you have micro-code source code?
 
I decided to buy a laser with a wavelength of 1654 nm and design its driver myself.
Which one do I use?
ARM
AVR
DSP
Arduino
FPGA

I want just detect methane gas. but i have to finish this with cheap cost. For this reason, I wanna design and build a DFB laser driver myself.
