Hi
I am working at a project and there are is a 12v dc motor . and I need to use a switch to control the direction back and force, when the motor starts, it needs about 3 amp , how long is the switch can work before it is burnt and how to protect from the burning or I have to use dc controller ???
Thanks

Use switch having high current rating about 5A or greater.
You can also use a relay to start/stop the motor but that does not seem necessary over here.

I didn't get you.

If you don't want to use large switch go for relay solution. Use flip-flop to control the relay.
