I just complete my audiometer , in that I used the TDA8551 for db adjustment. I was surprised that it is good attenuator , operated on +5v , smooth up / down facility , 8 pin etc check on cro.
In the same project i used dac for freq. adj. [ vco ].
Than i think , can TDA8551 use as dac ?. The arrangement that i dream , if input is 50Hz/60Hz [0.2v as your resolution demand ] , and at the output a pricision rectifier make a good DAC.
IS this dream is real or just not practical ?.
If not i would like to dream another one.
