Current Shunt Question....

Hello all,I was just wondering how a DC current Shunt works.I have a few power supplies I built with a 600 Amp DC Current Shunt,and matching Amp meter and it was close to what my Fluke DC Amp clamp was getting.Just wondering how they operate,thanks for the help...

Just give it a little thought! - all you need to know is ohms law - you're simply measuring the voltage drop across a low value resistor.
