How do we convert external USB keyboard connection from USB to FFC, Flexible flat cable, or maybe FPC, Flexible Printed Circuit, or else, has not confirmed yet the real, to be as replacement that's used in HP pavilion Laptop ?
If it's a typical laptop keyboard with a multi-way connection, then all the electronics are on the motherboard and the keyboard itself just contains a matrix of switches.
This is the keyboard connection on one model of Pavilion keyboard (it's a long running series of computers):
You would have to reverse engineer the keyboard wiring matrix of an original keyboard, then totally rewire the USB keyboard switches to the same matrix, and connect to a suitable multi-way cable tail...
It's a lot, lot easier to get a proper keyboard from someone scrapping a similar machine!
Or just use it via USB?
