we are facing issue of control supply nodule failure. it is siemens make and model - 6SL3100-1DE22. they are in service for about 10-12 yeras. what can be go wrong and what can be check to save this ? we have 20-25 installed. Please advice

Most likely electrolytic capacitors that have failed.

Are they being used on an AC or DC input?
I suspect AC, with the failures, as AC operation will rely on the high voltage capacitors.

Pictures of the inside of a failed unit could be useful, to look for what can be done to repair them or prevent failures?
