control circuit for 24 v dc motor

hI guys i need ur help , i working with my friend for controlling the 24 v dc motor used to carry the weight of 2.5Kilo used in the elevators, we are using plc so i need just a control circuit which can start and stop the 24 v dc motor, any kind of suggestion will be warmly welcomed.

As its an elevator [lift in the UK] the motor will have to reverse.?
So I would suggest that you look on the web for H Bridge motor drivers.
