Comparator behavior with High Impedance input

I don't have any comparators on me at the moment, so I am looking for a quick answer if possible. . .

If I attempt to compare a High Impedance / Tri State line with the reference voltage (between ground and Power Supply voltage), will the output be High Impedance as well?

No. The output impedance of a comparator is independent of the impedances on the inputs.
