communicating two pic16f877 using IR

Hi everyone,
I am a new comer to this PIC world...Can you guys refer me a tutorial or Method to perform communication between two pic16f877?
I am expecting a circuit design transmitter receiver etc..
I really have no idea how to perform this since there are very less number of references for IR communication of pic16f877..
