Hello, Remember me the guy of the tach problem??, well, I solved it but now the shift light doesn´t work, well I have a multimeter, and I checked the circuits with my multimeter, but nothing seems to be wrong, perhaps I am using my multimeter wrongly, do you have a url for using multimeters or something like that, like how to check transistors, resistors, diodes, etc, with a multimeter.
If your meter has a diode check function, you can use that to check transistors and diodes, otherwise it is not much use. You can check resistance and if the transistor or diode shows resistance, it is no good. An analog meter will show resistance when the diode is forward biased and open circuit when reverse biased. Since the base-emitteer and collector-base are diode junctions, you can check the transistor with an analog meter or digital meter that has a diode check.
