circuit problem

this is a circuit of a commercial mosquitozapper from YPD company. There is a high voltage pf capacitor across the HV terminals it stood in front of the brwn capacitors. i've removed it for replacement. the problem is that the pf keeps on blowing after every 3-4 days. i am fed up of replacing it every time. is there any permanent solution for this?

wont it kill the diodes when it catches a bug and get shorted?

now when the capacitor is replaced then there is not a spark. i get a very weak spark like the one we get by shorting AA cells. what may be the problem?

what ould be the fault now?
