I guess this might sound stupid but its important to me. I have a subject in my college this semester which goes by the name of " Chemistry for Engineers" . Now this is what the course description says :' The emphasis is on materials sciences(polymers , electrical properties of solids ), electrochemistry (conductance in solids and electrolytes, electrochemical cells, corrosion) and the chemistry of image production and related processes (printed circuits, silicon chip technology).

Now the only part that I cannot understand is " chemistry of image production and related proceeses(printed circuits , silicon chip technology). Could somebody please provide me some info on this topic so that I can have a clear idea as to wat I have to study

this will be related to study of materials use in fabrication of silicon chips (composition of substrates, package, leads) and printed circuit boards (like composistion of board )
