I have an old CD-Rom with eject button only and I want to use it as a stanalone audio cd player.
Do any one have a diagram for a control circuit that I can use like the one
presented here or even simpler (no screen for example) : **broken link removed**

There are numerous examples on the NET, basically you need a computer to send commands to the drive via it's IDE interface - something as simple as a PIC can do this, the 16F877 has enough pins, and there are PIC versions on the NET.
It's not possible (or at least not practical) to do it in hardware!.
