Capacitor in inputs of ICL7107 voltmeter

Hi,
I was wondering what is the purpose of connecting 0.01 micro farad capacitor across pin 30 and pin 31 of the circuits https://www.electro-tech-online.com/custompdfs/2012/07/fn3082.pdf (page 11 to page 12 every typical circuit does connecting it) ?
I have tried to read through the datasheet but couldn't find the answer, guess you might know the answer. Thanks in advance.

The R5 [1meg] and C5 [20nF] across the V inputs are for filtering out 'electrical' noise on the input signal.

The capacitor's function is to store electricity, or electrical energy.

The capacitor also functions as a filter, passing alternating current (AC), and blocking direct current (DC).

This symbol is used to indicate a capacitor in a circuit diagram.

When DC voltage is applied to the capacitor, an electric charge is stored on each electrode. While the capacitor is charging up, current flows. The current will stop flowing when the capacitor has fully charged.
