can keyboard controlled by PIC16f ?

my pc keyboard circuit layer has broken line but the module still fine. i tested the module with mm and scope it give me the same result (5vdc). i connect my pic directly to the module and it keep typing and it doesn't matter my pic is on or off. what i think is the circuit layer is function as short circuit purpose. instead of using relay connect in between it and pic, what can i still use to replace the relay?
