Can anyone help a newcommer?

Hi and first of all a big thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out here!

It seems like a friendly forum so my fingers are crossed

I have a basic knowledge of electronics and I'm trying to build or design a motion detector of sorts.

Basically I want a really small sensor to reomtely light an independent LED if it is moved.

Well, actually, I need five sensors to light 5 different LEDs - but I guess one is the same as five!

Can anyone please help or direct me to a good source?
