Hi,

Am using the Mini-360 buck converters to provide the 5v for an arduino based project with ds18b20 sensors and driving 5v and 12v fans .
Using analogue only for a simple 4 switch resistor network

Do these little devices need any additional input or output capacitors / filtering ?

Thanks

Hi,

Only if your application needs it.

A typical post filter for any switcher is a small inductor maybe 2uH and a capacitor. The inductor should have low ESR.
An important point is that the feedback location point does not change even after adding the post filter.

Good grounding and ground scheme is also important in minimizing noise.
It should be build with a copper ground plane if possible.
